"Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that...

"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. "Place was in a lovely location but the lack of parking could be an issue, also the Wi-Fi code in the info folder was unclear and we needed to look on back of the router to log on, the contact number in the folder was no longer available - because I had an e mail from the owners direct I had a number but it wasn’t helpful as they couldn’t help. "The bed was hard and no airconditon. The window has to be open all day and night and even then is was really hot in the room. There was a portible fan, but when on so noisy it was hard to sleep. The swimmingpool was not clean, only two showers to use for both men and women - so people went in the water without a shower."
