"Ciel y Miel is a beautiful boutique eco-lodge, but it’s important to know what to expect. It’s located inside a national park, so the final road is dirt and very remote. You park at the lower entrance and the staff drives you to the rooms. Our first night was an adjustment after a long drive. "Biggest initial impression was the smell of old oil and fish from the water. They need to clean up the mess in the water near the restaurant. Room was nice for the cost. No one showed up to provide breakfast this morning even though the sign said 8 am. So we went hungry. Left the room key on the door handle as no one showed up so we could check out. At dinner, they were out of every menu item I selected. 5th choice for dinner. Lucky, there was only one other menu item left."
