"The home was authentic Jamaican, gated and secure. I arrived late in the day with an emerging dental emergency. The next morning this required immediate attention. The Hostess Tamara walked with me to a nearby Dental Centre to be successfully treated. As I returned and departed for the International Airport, the host Shane taxied me to the airport for a flat $25 rate as advertised, (airport taxis were asking for $35-$45 for the same transport.) The hosts were welcoming, attentive and gracious....

"Starlight Chalet is a very nice, well maintained classic building with beautiful landscaping. The view is wonderful, especially from upstairs and from the gazebo. The food was very good (but perhaps a bit expensive). The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There is no AC, but the temperature at 3500' was much cooler than in the adjacent lowlands so AC was not essential. We went on several birding excursions and found lots of good birds. If you go,...

"I loved everything about it! It's peaceful, quiet, friendly staff who leave you alone and don't bother you about anything, normal amenities like tea, bottles of cold water and snacks. If you get the 2nd floor I think you would have a very nice view as well. Also I'm a single female traveler from abroad The rooms are safe and you can bolt lock them from inside. The AC is kicking. Loved my stay and will be back soon."

"Great hotel with a wonderful pool. We could see the ocean and Port Royal from the balcony. Great location for visiting the Bob Marley museum and Devon House. We also drove to Port Royal, about 35 minutes away. There was an issue with our first room, that was handled very professionally and to our full satisfaction by the front desk. Good pool bar and restaurant. "

"When I took a taxi and reached the Pogas suites for check in There was nobody and I called the owner he said the property is under renovation and I asked for refund he told me contact to the Expedia . I paid the extra for the another to stay and find a room. Please kindly refund my amount. Thanks."

"The apartment was clean to the point of sterile. The manager was punctual, polite and a professional. The apartment was close to where I needed to be and the security guard was pretty helpful in helping us to find local places to eat. Good experience. First time in Kingston"

"Ms Jodi and Mr Jerry were the most gracious hosts. They were only a phone call away and ready to help. They had a poster board with a list of local shopping and site seeing sites. We shopped for our groceries and cooked our own meals. Our space felt so comfortable we were able to focus on our trip without the stress of worrying about being in cramped spaces or being a bother to others. "The property is well kept, the atmosphere relaxing, but most of all I felt very safe. The communication level however at first could've been better. The agent that I spoke with was very apologetic and very professional and courteous. Overall my stay was excellent. I'll recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet place away from home for a couple of days"
