This quaint farmhouse boasts the best of both worlds: quiet and secluded yet close to the beach and all of the local attractions. From Chinook to Oysterville, you can explore all of the trailheads, museums, fishing ports, lighthouses, boutiques, and boardwalk. Stop for a drink or bite to eat at one of the restaurants, lounges, bakeries or coffee shops.

There’s also tax-free shopping in Astoria, OR, which is a quick drive south across the mighty Columbia River on the Astoria Megler bridge, allowing you to explore more of the PNW coastline. You can even check out Seaside, OR. just a few miles south on HWY 101.

At Hemlock Hideaway, the large fenced covered deck, gas grill, and patio furniture lend themselves to your continued rest, relaxation, and enjoyment of the lovely weather and serene surroundings we have to enhance your vacation. Grab a morning cup of coffee or tea, lunch snack, or glass of wine, and enjoy this comfortable (out-of-the-weather) deck! Just off the entryway is a laundry room with a half bath and a coat closet for your convenience.

You’ll immediately feel at home in the well-equipped kitchen, where you can play chef while overlooking the sunken living and dining rooms. This wilderness-themed area is perfect for dining, streaming your favorite shows using your login credentials on the smart TV, playing board games, cards, or poker, reading or writing sessions, or just plain rest and relaxation!

Upstairs, you will discover the bright, colorful, spacious bedroom with a walk-thru full bath, TV, closets, a desk for remote work projects, and a ceiling fan. (Air-conditioning is not provided due to the mild climate.)

While vacationing at Hemlock Hideaway, keep your eyes open for bald eagles, hawks, and owls that sit in the trees or fly overhead. Deer, raccoons, and bears also pass through the property, so we ask you not to leave any food outside. We wish you a wonderful stay.

Hemlock Hideaway is the perfect place for a weekend getaway, birthday or anniversary celebration or even a honeymoon, when you stay here you won’t want to leave.

Things to Know
No clam cleaning, fish filleting, or crab cooking is allowed in the house, or on the deck.
No dogs or emotional support animals allowed, only certified service dogs.
Max occupancy 4, including children.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Security camera details: There is 1 floodlight surveillance camera facing the driveway. 2 cameras on the deck facing doors. Also a motion activated string light along north deck for lighting.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
