For a fun-filled North Devon getaway, stay at this attractive second-floor apartment with beautiful views over the harbour and the town of Ilfracombe. The beaches and South West Coast Path access are less than 500 metres away, or you could head into town to enjoy a classic Devonshire afternoon tea or dine at one of the town’s many fabulous eateries, including some of the best fish and chip shops around. Take a short stroll to the Tunnels Beaches (800m), where tunnels carved through the cliffs in the 1820s lead to a stunning tidal bathing pool and rockpools at low tide. For more adventure, the beautiful sands and surf-friendly waters of Woolacombe (6.5 miles) and Croyde (9.5 miles) are within easy reach. Don’t miss a trip to the Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park (6.5 miles) for a fun family day out. Plus, with Exmoor National Park on your doorstep, hiking enthusiasts will find plenty of breathtaking trails to explore, too. An internal staircase leads up to the apartment. Enter into a bright and welcoming open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and dining space all in one. It is stylishly furnished alongside carefully chosen artworks to create a restful atmosphere, while the kitchen has glossy white units and tiled walls for an elegant finish. When you’ve been out in the sunshine all day, sit down with your loved ones on the corner sofa for a spot of entertainment on the Smart TV. The scenic vistas from all the rooms over the town and harbour are delightful, with Damien Hirst’s famous Verity statue in full view. Down the hallway you will find two inviting bedrooms with plenty of storage and hanging space: a twin room that can be converted into a king-size on request, and a comfortable double. Both offer stunning views – and on clear days you should be able to see across the channel to make out the Gower coast of South Wales. The family bathroom includes a shower over the bath and a WC.
