"We had an amazing stay in the Boathouse. We arrived to warm and lighted rooms, as well as champagne and delicious fresh bread. So welcoming. The location was the perfect base from which to explore the south of Tasmania and we had everything we needed in our self-contained accommodation. Even though the weather was cool, we were so cozy with central heating and a fireplace. The jacuzzi was an added bonus, as was the inquisitive wildlife. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a very peaceful location, with plenty of opportunity to see the local wildlife. The pod was well laid out with a spacious deck and comfortable seating. The access road to the units is single lane gravel, rutted and extremely steep, and should be noted as 4wd only. We had to back out all the way in our front wheel drive vehicle. The beach is close by, but isn’t like the white sandy beaches in other parts of the island. It’s more mud than sand, however there is easy access to oysters, and...

"The house was lovely but the bed in the master bedroom was only a double and a small double so for my husband of 192cm and myself 176cm we did not sleep very well as we just didnt fit in the bed."

"Overall the house was suitable for our needs. The driveway is very steep and not easy to navigate. The house itself could have have some easy made changes, including little things like teaspoons (there was none), more pillows on the bed (One is not always enough), better blinds in bathrooms and toilets (we had to fix them to ensure that we could have privacy when on toilet and in shower). "Dog friendly, and great location. However you may need to be aware that the access to main living space is up 14 wooden stairs. We had to teach our to go up and down, slowly. I would imagine some older people having difficulty with this too."
