"My boyfriend and I had booked 4 night in Villa Blu. We were both really excited about this place. Our room was very (!!!) clean and the view to the beach is/was really great. The beach is unspoiled but it wasn’t possible to take a swim as the waves were quiet harsh - luckily we had a nice pool at Villa Blu with sea view. There are only a few hotels around Villa Blu and therefore the area seems quite local. It’s possible to rent a scooter or hire a tuktuk if you wanna go for a trip. The...

"We had an excellent stay at Smeralda Beach Hotel over Christmas. Lovely boutique hotel right by Dickwella Beach. Friendly staff and very good food in the restaurant. Calm and quiet area, close to Hiriketiya Beach where surfing and cool vibe. Short walk to snorkling with turtles. "

"Very nice and very quiet chalet on a deserted beach. The location is literally on the beach. Ideal if you want tranquility. Just the sound of the waves! Our host was excellent and helped us with information we needed. There is a good restaurant next door and the Waves will provide good dinners at reasonable cost if you give them warning (as everything is freshly cooked). "

"We loved our stay at coco tangalla. The staff was welcoming and kind and the location was amazing. The property is beautiful with a great pool and beautiful view of the beach (although you can’t swim there because of the rocks, but it’s great to watch crabs in the rock pools!) - food was very tasty (egg hoppers were especially good) and the room was comfortable and practical (not huge in itself but the bed was comfy and there was storage for our bags under the bed, and the bathroom was big)....

"It was a lovely place with very nice hosts and a nice clean room with a comfy bed. It is close to the beach and is located in the city, but away from the noisy road. The welcome drink is delicious, as well as the food they serve ☺️"

"This was one of the highlights of my month long travels in Sri Lanka. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the glamping tents are stunning and the host can’t do enough for you. The traditional food served was some of the best I have eaten in Sri Lanka and the attention to detail with service was unmatched. 10/10 recommend for a quiet getaway amongst nature. "
