"I highly recommend this hotel. I’ve been looking for a hotel that is safe with easy walkable distance to restaurants when I travel through on work. Highly recommend staying here. There are so many restaurants to choose from in the area that are walkable. And beds were comfortable and the hotel was very clean. The staff was also amazing and they had a good variety of food that was well stocked for their breakfast. "

"We stayed in the detached bungalow....it was perfect with lots of space and unexpected treats. Breakast was amazing, the grounds were lush and beautiful. Off street parking was a little cramped. Definitely would recommend. "

"We travel to the coast a couple times a year and always stay at Blue Lake Casino. It’s clean. Staff is friendly and on-site food is always good. My son enjoys the pool and I like the proximity to the ocean. It is perfect for traveling between the redwoods south of Eureka and Trinidad/ Patrick’s point to the north. "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Hot breakfast options were ok, lots of options. Pool was really nice and comfortable (as a parent watching younger kids - the indoor outdoor pool room wasn't hot and stuffy as they usually are). The kids enjoyed it. Close to grocery store and some restaurants. Location is pretty quick to Sue Meg State Park and redwood hikes! Cookies in the evening at the front desk."

"The hotel was very walkable to downtown, but with all the homeless around, I don't think I felt very safe. Not the hotel's fault.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel was really cool looking, being historic and all, but it really smelled old. Not terrible, just like you old grandmother's basement.
The breakfast didn't have a lot of options. But there are a lot of restaurants nearby.
There is an outdoor pool, but it was too cold for that.

"We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool.
We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy."
