"One of the best travel experiences I have had. Xavier and Erica are incredible hosts and people. The lodge and grounds are beautiful. Filled with beautiful plants , trees, and flowers. "It's right next to a beautiful rushing creek, with a lovely field across it. There is a view of the local ruins. The garden and common/dining area are beautiful as well. "This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "Very friendly and service minded staff. I needed to bath my foot every day and they willingly found a bucket and brought boiling water to the room every night. The hotel is generally a bit cold. However, it did have hot water in the shower, which has not been a given at the hotels we have stayed at in Peru. The kitchen chef was also very nice and prepared freshly cut fruit for us upon her own suggestion. It is a 7-10 minute Uber ride away from the historical center, which cost 8 soles when we visited. "
