"This place was marvelous. It’s even better than the pictures make it look. Don’t hesitate. Book now. It’s be a yearly retreat for us if we didn’t have to pay for airfare to Costa Rica too. The manager lives next door and is super helpful as she understands the area well, and even runs her own coffee shop down the road from the house. If you rent a vehicle, make sure to get a 4x4. "Ben was an amazing host. Playa Avellanas is very rural, and Ben guided us in right to his gate, no problem. Ben is super attentive, and was checking in with us frequently. He saved us a lot of money with his spot on recommendations regarding excursions and restaurants. The boardwalk to the beach, and the beach are amazing. Restaurants in the area - off the charts!"

"If I was to build a vacation home for myself, it would be exactly this. It is comfortable, tastefully decorated, and convenient to local attractions. The parking area is uncovered but inside the locked gate, so very secure; it was a snug fit, but with practice I was able to park my compact SUV with ease. "Property manager was very helpful and responsive. Rooms and pool were clean and relaxing. Kitchen area didn't have any air conditioning, so was very hot while cooking and gathering there. Had a few issues with keys not working in locks. Overall nice place, and worked well for what we needed."
