"This was a very interesting resort! Unfortunately, we arrived, and there was no one to greet us, except the security guard, who gave us a nice tour around the property, including rooms that were obviously occupied by other guests… Our room was nice, but the facilities could certainly use some work. For example, there was no toilet paper holder, and there was about 1/25 of a roll of toilet paper just sitting on the back of the toilet tank. The shower curtain didn’t reach the floor on the shower...

"I enjoyed swimming in my private pool! The resort was amazing, clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I felt pressure to tip everyone, which was overwhelming as there are a lot of people helping you. There is a collective tip box but it doesn't include tipping the drivers and front office staff. In future I would let everyone know I will tip them on the last day and avoid the stress of having tip money with me all the time. "

"This was the most amazing experience of a lifetime! Cassius, Vanessa, Arnold, and everyone met our every needs and then some!! They took care of us so well and welcomed us in every aspect. They arranged all our trips with our guide, Gary, which was beyond belief. The personal service was impeccable. Made sure we were well fed and had our drink schedule down. "This is more of a guest house than a lodge. Accommodations are basic, which is why the label of "lodge" is perhaps a little misleading.
Like many things in Zimbabwe, this place has several things that are broken, which didn't make it an awful stay, but when added up, they detract from the overall quality of the establishment. "I was super excited about staying at Liam's. The proximity to town was good and a safe walking distance. The pros are the staff, they are very accommodating and professional. The breakfast was good an they let you do modifications which allowed me to save food by only ordering what I wanted. I have crazy hot flashes so the fan next to the bed was a huge plus. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable.
The cons are the air conditioning unit leaks very badly, hot water is scarce and I hate cold...
