really neat place!
the pictures really tell the story - the outdoor areas, the veranda, the rooms, the decor -- just a really neat fun getaway, right where Lake Mac and Lake Mich meet - what more could anyone ask for! The only negative is being sad to leave and wishing you could stay a little longer!

Sister Reunion
This was a perfect place for my 3 Sisters and myself having a weekend Reunion. It was within walking distance of the Holland Lighthouse and that made it great for one of us who loves Lighthouses. The area had some great restaurants that we enjoyed and the Farmers Market was great fun on Saturday too. Harriet the owner was very easy to reach and get assistance as we needed.

Wonderful little place with charm
I loved this stay and would totally recommend it. The walk to the lake is fabulous. My only hesitation in recommending it was, as described in the great communication from the host, was the parking and wayfinding was pretty tricky since we got in late at night. Providing a precise GPS location would have definitely coming in handy.

Quaint cottage near beach
Location was excellent and was peaceful and quiet. It was a short walk, or drive, to the beach. Everything we needed was there except it would be good to provide shower soap in both bathrooms and not just shampoo.

Vintage Charm
Wonderful location. Very cute vintage but has all the necessities and then some for a wonderful enjoyable stay. Walking distance to favorite ice cream and beach. Was in awe with the vintage artifacts merged with beach theme. Host was very receptive and loved them games and books.

This home is just a short walk (about .3 miles) on a picturesque boardwalk to a beautiful beach. The sunset was stunning!

Fabulous location and charming property
The location of this property was fabulous. A short walk to the beach and connected to very cool paths to the state park and lake Michigan. The area is quaint and historic, and the house was very charming. The furnishings could use some updating, but the things were very clean and comfortable.

Great location
The location to the beach can't be beat, but furnishings are showing wear and it could use a refresh. No window coverings in some bedrooms and bathrooms. Wouldn't recommend for those traveling with toddlers or folks with mobility challenges, but good for others looking for a porch with a view and short walk to ice cream and the beach.

Charming cottage
We had a great stay and the location was excellent. We enjoyed lots of time at the beach and biking on the bike paths. Some furnishings and fixtures could use a bit of repair, but that’s to be expected in an older home. Overall it fit our needs very well.

Very good
This house is straight out of the movie Dan in Real Life. From the porch you can see the water with sailboats and such. Ot was very relaxing. Everything you would need is provided. The walking paths are great leading to the private beach and the other way to Holland State Park. You can walk to the General Store and to get ice cream. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming house
We had a three generation family get away and we had a lovely time. This is a charming house filled with sea-themed knick knacks. It was furnished with plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. It was very easy access to the lake. The owner/manager was very responsive to my pre-visit inquiries and was also very helpful to our on- site call about extra parking.

Charming cottage
We had a wonderful time staying in this charming cottage which is a short walk to the beach. The beds were all very comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. Perfect locations for enjoying Lake Michigan and the quaint town of Holland. Harriett was very responsive. Thank you!

Quaint and Peaceful Location
We greatly enjoyed our relaxing stay at this quaint, peaceful cottage. Everything was exactly as described. Loved sitting on the large screened-in porch, listening to the sounds of nature. Plan to come back for a longer.stay next time. The only suggestion for improvement is for blinds or shades to be in all the bedrooms. Thanks for a fabulous mini getaway.

The accommodations were relaxing. The deer were somewhat thrilling. If I had read about the approach to the property before we got there it would have been more enjoyable. Nice, clean surroundings. I wish we had stayed longer.

Reunion Weekend
7 friends returned to Holland to celebrate our graduation from Hope College 50 years ago. This cottage provided us with the ideal setting for our gathering. First of all, Harriet is an excellent communicator, answering emails so promptly. Secondly, the cottage was immaculately clean upon our arrival. With plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all and cozy areas for eating and talking, we spread out and really enjoyed our time together. The kitchen was very well equipped, too. And third, what a grand location with easy access to Lake Mac, Lake Michigan and Mt Pisgah. It is an older cottage with uneven floors, a claw foot tub in one bathroom and steep, uncarpeted stairs up to the second floor, but we are an agile group and had no problems. We loved this cottage's quirky charms and highly recommend a stay here!

Nice little get-away
We very much enjoyed our stay. Perfect table for playing cards. The 3 seasons porch is a nice spot but it was a bit chilly during our visit so we didn't utilize it. We really liked the sitting area as it made you feel like you were in a tiny library. We did have a little trouble figuring out where to park as the name on the parking spots is different than whats in the directions. We would definetly come back as we only got to enjoy it for one night.

Nurses get away weekend
It was the perfect house for a nurses reunion. There were 5 of us. Plenty of room. Comfortable with lots of character. Nice big table for playing games. A short walk to the beach. Beautiful Lake Michigan. A short drive to downtown Holland. Would definitely come again.

Overnight getaway
This property fit our needs to a tee. We are five neighbor ladies age 56 to 82. This is the first time we have rented a house for our overnight trip. It turned out to be a very good decision. We had room to sit and visit and discuss our plans for the next day. We enjoyed the front porch for our wine and cheese snack and our coffee in the morning. We even saw four deer go through the neighborhood while we were enjoying our coffee. We all agreed that VRBO is the way to go when looking for a nice place to stay.

Fine for what it is
The house is a in a historic district and the house it obviously historic. Some things like the furniture and appliances are outdated and there are a lot of knick knacks that little kids could break. The whole place could use a deep clean but it wasn't terrible. It is walking distance to Lake Michigan and that's really all we wanted.

Beautiful Location in Historical Community
It was a perfect amount of space for trip with three adults and two kids. Kitchen was well equipment and property had beach equipment and wagon to transport items to and from. Which was great because I forgot my kids beach toys! Parking spot was a bit of a walk to property, wasn’t a huge deal for myself and sister, but worth noting if you have any activity intolerance. We absolutely loved the location between both the lakes. Morning tea on the screened in porch overlooking Lake Macatawa was lovely.

Great cottage near the beach
We stayed at the cottage as a family group. The cottage a quite spacious, and actually seemed bigger than it looked in the listing - the large screened in porch in particular was amazing, and there's a table on the back deck for fully outdoor dining. The kitchen was basic but functional. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the beach in either direction - one direction is busier but with the state park bathroom, the other without a bathroom but plenty of space even when the other side of the park is busy. Also it was an easy walk to the general store for ice cream or pier for fishing. Overall highly recommended as a place to stay.

Outstanding Stay
We have been coming to the area for over 20 years. This was our first time staying at this location and it was absolutely beautiful. Nice walking distance to everywhere. The property had every you could need for a great stay. The property manager was wonderful to work with and check in and check out process was so easy. We highly recommend this property, we had to move some decorations because we had a little one with us but the cabin was absolutely gorgeous and clean. Front porch was so amazing and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the views and the furniture.

Cozy and Close to Beach!
The property was even better in person, it was absolutely adorable! I am very picky and I found it to be very clean, the bedding was all clean, the floor free from sand which seems impossible being so close to the beach. I would stay again without hesitation.
