It is removed from easy access to activities in the area, other than the outdoor sculpture park, which is EXTREMELY worth a visit, but it was a beautiful location to spend a peaceful break in the midst of the big cities on our itinerary. "The room was wonderful!! Very relaxing even though there is a road under the hotel. Remember there is no staff at the hotel and no restaurants near by. So you need to think about breakfast and dinner. We used the local 7/11 and Gora is only one station away. Had an amazing massage in the evening. "

"Very nice apartment in Hakone with private onsen and foot bath.
Kitchen was well equipped and we loved eating breakfast with a stunning view of the mountains.
Beds are comfortable- the only downside is that both double beds are placed in same room and then the futons (2 floor mattresses) was in a separate room. A bit odd but fortunately 2 of us slept well on the mattresses.
The onsen was very nice!
