It is a bit out of town but you can go into historic Durango for activities and then return here for a peaceful sleep, a pastoral setting and a delightful breakfast with other guests. More room for kids to move around in or go check out the chickens at Chick Inn. "

"Odd that the the property has an airport shuttle but guests are not allowed to use it. It is meant only for the airline staff apparently. We have to fend for ourselves with the never available taxis and Uber. "

"The first thing we see, when we arrive, is that the pool is closed due to renovation. We had picked the hotel because it had a pool. The room is clean but very old and defaulted. There is a one inch gap between the floor and the outside door, so it feels like sleeping in a tent next to a busy road. There was also a gap under the door to the other room, and with that and paperthin walls, we could hear everything our neighbors said and did. The windows were so dirty that they were almost orange....

"James checked me in and put a smile on my face just by being friendly. The room is great and parking is convenient. The AC works, it just needed an hour to get cranking. There's a cool stream nearby. The area is walkable; James recommended Fridas, an excellent Mexican restaurant about 3-4 blocks up the road. Great margaritas and tacos and excellent salsa, an easy walk. The trolley that moves people around town has a stop right here. The wifi is a little slow - but you're in Durango, go outside!"
