This handsome stone townhouse is set over three storeys and offers plenty of space for couples, friends and families to unwind, recharge and make special memories together. The historic market town of Helston has a variety of shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants. In Coronation Park (0.5 miles), you can take little ones to the playpark, feed the ducks, go for a ride on a pedalo, and indulge in a sweet treat in the cafe. Within 5 miles you can walk through the grand Penrose Estate to Loe Pool, a huge freshwater lake, then join the coastal path to Porthleven, with its beach, harbour and selection of high-quality restaurants, or to Gunwalloe, where there are two beaches, sand dunes and a medieval church. Helston is also the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, with its array of wonderful beaches, and just 13.5 miles from the chic harbour town of Falmouth.
This lovely home-from-home has an open-plan living space where everyone can gather to cook, eat and relax. To the front is the lounge area, filled with light from a tall sash window, and furnished with a pair of comfortable Chesterfield sofas. Whether you’re listening to music, playing games or streaming a movie on the Smart TV, this room is a wonderful spot in which to gather, with the ornamental fireplace providing a focal point. Stroll through to the kitchen/diner to find another bright space, with a dining table for six and all the equipment you’ll need for holiday cooking – including a microwave and worktop freezer. There’s a washing machine in the utility room, as well as a dog bed and a selection of large crates. Another special treat for your pet is the sweet, under-stairs nook, where they can curl up and get comfortable. Heading upstairs, you’ll find two elegant double bedrooms on the first floor, one with a pair of chairs by the window where you can sip coffee as you watch the world go by on the street below. Also on this floor is a spacious family shower room. On the second floor, a double bedroom boasts an en-suite shower room and is tucked under the sloping eaves of the house.
Outside, the back garden is another delight, offering a spacious, decked courtyard which is fully enclosed and has steep steps down to the rear gate. On sunny days, you can enjoy a morning coffee, a sundowner, or a special meal at the picnic table on the raised terrace – there’s enough room for children and dogs to play. Parking is on-street and time restricted, but there are public car parks (chargeable) in the town centre nearby.
