"The place itself was in a fine enough condition, and the personel were all very kind, helpful and effective. What put a damper on our stay was, that we were rather unfortunate to be placed in room just above the kitchens, and with our window just next to the exhaust of the kitchen ventilation. These conditions meant that the room was quite warm, but we couldn't really air it out while the ventilation was on, partly due to the noise, but in a much higher degree due to the air being heavy with deep-frying fumes. It was, thankfully, switched off during the night hours, but an hour less on either side of the interval, that we were made aware of by a paper slip in our room, apologising for the noise."
