"Hotel pool absolutely not inviting. On arrival it was dirty, and although attempts were made over the next days, it never became nice and clear during our stay. Have a feeling they did not know how to control the various “values” which ensures a clean and clear pool.

"The property is beautiful and well located for visiting Prince Albert. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel. Overall I would highly recommend De Bergkandt for anyone spending time in the Karoo."

"Great place and a Lovely room!! But the check in felt a little weird/very rushed. The manager showed us the apartment and explained everything in like 1 minute. It was alot to take in and remember and he talked very fast so I had to ask again several times... It felt like he was in a hurry and that in turn made us feel unwelcome. Very weird customer service. But the place was lovely in a great quiet place with gorgeous surroundings."
"Stayed in one of the cottages for 2 nights. Beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. A private veranda overlooking a gorgeous and interesting garden. I would definitely stay here again. Johan is a great host. There when you need him and respecting your privacy when you don’t. A must"

The game drives were great. Wrap up warm on a morning it's cold. The pool was cold so we didn't use it. The sun loungers were comfortable. All staff friendly and the animals were great."
