"Roomy cabin, super clean and quiet. Loved the 8 track player with tapes, it brought back fond memories. Well stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Canoes kayaks and life vests available to use. Sadly it rained so we will have to come back to give those a try."

"We so enjoyed our stay at Sugar Sand Retreat! The location is ideal and the house was perfect for our group of 10 plus an occasional extra relative. There was plenty of space for our grandchildren ages 13 - 22 to spread out. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed Lake Ida very much!"

"For 35 years we have been getting together as sisters and our daughters and daughter in laws have joined us after they turn 21 years old. The house was a perfect setting for our gathering and we were impressed with the cleanliness of every room. We hope to return again next year!"

"Property is well suited for a large group gathering. It was very comfortable, but had some tired furniture, ie ripped covers on the couches. However, having young children staying there, it made it also more relaxing that we weren't going to ruin anything. Granted, the weekend that we stayed was hot and humid...the home was quite hot and humid on the inside. Yes, there are 3 working air conditioners (two window units and one wall unit) in the house, but could not come close to keeping the...

"Really nice property with fun games, hammock, kayak, fire ring (wood provided!). Spiral stairs and sloped rock path were a bit treacherous. Could use some additional kitchen utensils, like chef knife and metal spatula. Pontoon mentioned an ad not available. "
