"In August 2025 we had the perfect family vacation at the River House. My family of 9, ranging in age from 9 to 77, spent 5 nights in Joan’s beautiful house. I am in a wheelchair and have never stayed at a more handicapped accessible rental. Joan was helpful and gracious and when my bed was too high, she helped us work out a perfect solution and the elevator to all four floors was a lifesaver. Plenty to do around the area and kept us busy for a week with the rain that came in. Recomend using a backpack luggage and it made the stairs easier to conquer!Just be prepared"

"The home was lovely. 4 of us stayed, as we were in town for a memorial. After the memorial 10 of us gathered to look at pictures and chat. It was comfortable for a get together. Rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoy our stay and would definitely stay here in the future. Host was helpful and quickly responded to our questions. "

"My family had a great stay here. It's a very unique and artful space. It worked great for six of us varying in age ranges with 2 adults and 4 kids. The Salvage Sip Cafe just up Main Street has great coffee and some breakfast items like croissants, bagels, and muffins. We're in this area somewhat regularly and would definitely stay here again. :-)"

"We found the cottage to be very clean and uncluttered. It was very comfortable for the 2 of us. Though we ate only breakfast in there were ample supplies and cooking materials if you wanted to eat in. We were very comfortable there and would recommend it."

"Beautiful property and excellent host. The pictures do not do the land and the property justice. The check in process was easy and everything was present as expected. We had a large party and there was plenty of space for everyone to hangout, relax, and rest. The host was very communicative and relayed all the necessary info prior to the check-in.
