"I really enjoyed my visit to The Hill Hotel. I had problems on the journey and arrived late and Jerry made me feel welcome from arriving to leaving. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

"What a find,this hotel is .it's nicely situated good car park ,clean bright and extremely comfortable .Terry and Lynne are wonderful hosts ,nothing is too much trouble for them ,and they are always friendly and helpful .we have stayed here three times before and would not consider staying anywhere else ."

"The hotel was overbooked, so I was outbooked to another hotel with quite lower standards a 12 min. drive away. I also got split up from my travelling companions. I heard that the same had happened for other guests as well. I asked for some kind of compensation, without success."

Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas."
