"We stayed at the Standard Highline for a week from Friday to Saturday. The hotel is centrally located with great shopping, food and beverage offering right outside. However it comes with some drawbacks.
At check-in we were given a room on the 4th floor supposedly far away from the noise from the standards own night club on the top floor however it turned out to be right above the neighbouring Brass Monkey and the music on their rooftop terrace was so loud that we could sing along to the songs...
"Stayed there for 11 days - and stayed many more times before COVID. Very cool hotel with a young and trendy vibe. Rooms are spacious for New York with very comfortable mattresses. Excellent location close to a subway station and the Meatpacking District, the Highline and Chelsea. Super nice staff. Nothing bad to say about this hotel."
"Vi havde et super ophold på Chelsea Pines Inn. Personalet var virkelig søde og behjælpelige og værelset var rent og pænt.
Hotellet har ikke elevator og vi fik et værelse på 5. sal, men det var fint for os, man skal dog ikke være dårligt gående. De første par dage var der enormt meget larm fra gangen, pga en stor blæser, men den blev heldigvis slukket. Vi vil helt klart anbefale hotellet og selv vælge det igen, når turen går til NY igen."

"This is a fantastic property, restored beautifully with many fine details. We had a premier room, which was amazing —large and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the cafe, drinks in the bar, and dinner at El Quijote, all of which were great. The staff everywhere is extremely friendly.
However, there were a couple of hiccups: there was a lot of almost constant noise right outside our room window from a ventilation pipe. Additionally, we only received turn-down service one...

Exclusive service, and a big thanks to Gaby. She helped me, upgrading my room for at better view over Hudson Yard. The size of the room was great, and the location of the hotel the best. The bathrooms were amazing, and especially the main, with both shower and bathtub with a fine view."
"Nice 4-star hotel in the heart of Chelsea. We stayed for 5 nights in a King Corner Room with a city view — the room was relatively spacious by NYC standards and the view didn’t disappoint. A solid choice for a longer stay. The hotel also features a great rooftop bar, perfect for relaxing after a day out in the city or for clubbing in the evening. "

Fed international atmosfære, og så er det ikke større end, at man føler sig hjemme fra første minut. Chelsea er et godt område, og gaden bliver opgraderet med nye gallerier og bygninger fra gang til gang. Desuden ligger det centralt, midt i det hele. Americanos cykler er gode. Godt gearet. Og prisen er den samme som byens city-bikes, bortset...

"Disappointing stay. Very long wait at reception, the main floor was under construction with no lobby or common areas. Rooms were tiny with small beds, no fridge, and unclean blankets."

Saturday morning we asked to be moved to another room and they gave us a room on the 7th floor still facing the Brass monkey but further away. Saturday night Brass Monkey was slightly better but still very loud and once the brass monkey music stopped at 2 am we could hear and feel the pounding of the drum and base from the Standards own penthouse club until 4am. :-(
Sunday there was still music but the stopped early because of the rain. Monday to Wednesday it was great with no music and thursday and Friday night it was again loud music.
So if you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The Staff were very friendly and tried to help us however it is a bit of a Las Vegas experience.
