"The cabin is indeed cozy as well as immaculately clean and welcoming. We appreciated all of the little details of hospitality. The beds were comfortable and warm, the property was well-kept and accommodating; and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook in. "My guests and I found Black Bear Lodge to be very comfortable, clean, and quiet. There was an abundant supply of towels, toilet paper, and K-cup pods for the coffee machine. The gas grill on the back porch came in handy one night for dinner. During our stay, we saw a beaver, rabbits, geese and hummingbirds on the property. It is a convenient place to stay if you are planning to visit Cherry Springs State Park and Leonard Harrison State Park. My only suggestion is to supply a plastic dishpan...

"We stayed the night before the Rise and Run 50K at the Western Rim Northern Trailhead. It was the perfect space for my husband, me, and our two small dogs. The cabin was very clean, we had everything we needed, and the host was very attentive and communicative. We were close to Wellsboro which was such a cute town with lots of dinner options! We are thinking of bringing our kids back in the future for a little get away weekend. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area! "

"The overall stay was good, the house is very well kept! It was a beautiful setting. My only complaint would be the noise from Route 6. It is heavily traveled so expect some road noise when outside. Everything else was great!"
