"Not a BW+ as we usual know them. Rather a BW in low end at the most. Seems old, worn out, not too clean general, breakfast really low standard, and a lot of noise from traffic. Glad we only had one night there. Would we stay there again? No. "

"Staying at The River Hotel Chicago was a excellent experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nice with a great view, the location was just in the middle of everything and right a cross the river. There was free coffee on the second floor, and purified water in the hall. "

The pool on the fifth floor is spectacular and offers amazing views of the downtown skyline.
Moreover, the hotel is in a clean and safe part of the city.
Stayed there with two small kids, and had no problem roaming the neighborhood after dark.

"Very close to Clinton blue line if you plan on taking public transportation. Quiet hotel with roof top pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was how tight the bathroom was. For a family you couldn’t fit more than one in the bathroom to get ready at once. "

"Stayed here for Lolla weekend. Staff was amazing & did everything they could to help us check in early. Hotel was very clean. Rooms are dated and do not have a lot of good outlets to use for charging devices, but I would definitely stay again for its location and quality service. "

"There with a friend for a concert - we wanted someplace with easy access to the L Train. This was definitely it! We were on the 2nd floor with a window right next to the tracks and could barely hear the train go by. Didn't hear any of our neighbors, and the staff was always helpful and friendly! "

Men det var næsten umuligt at få sit værelse gjort rent, lykkedes to gange på syv overnatninger, svært at få fyldt kaffe mm op. Morgenmaden var ikke særligt inspirerende, fint med frisk frugt, men ingen ost og friskt brød, kun hvide toastbrød, savnede havregryn/grød, surmælksprodukter og kogte æg, flere dage heller ingen cereals. "Very, very nice hotel in the midst of everything. Nice rooms which delivers as promised. Especially the concierge delivered service beyond belief (sadly I don't remember his name).
The service by the hostess in the rooftop bar were horrendous - never experienced anyone looking so sad for being at work.
Sadly my experience were ruined a bit after coming home, as I felt overcharged by the final bill. I've been trying to get in touch with the hotel since, but have heard no response what so ever.
I cannot give a lower rating than I did, as the hotel overall was amazing, but this situation stops me from wanting to visit or recommend Pendry, regretfully.
