I have never had such an experience at a so-called “resort.” My family and I checked in on Thursday night. No issues there. I get to our room at Bayside and there is absolutely no hot water. I called and texted and they said it’d be on by the morning. The girl that checked us into our room did not mention once that there was no hot water. Friday morning comes, and you guessed it, still no hot water. I call and they tell me it’s the boiler and they didn’t have the part. I was told the expected timing is uncertain (so now we’re pushing back by the day it seems). They tell us, we could go shower at the fitness center (which btw isn’t even in the same building, although close). No one offered that info that it wasn’t in our building. I try to be a good sport about it and decided to go to the beach with my family. We come back to our room about 5 or 6… still no hot water. My girls had sand in their hair and obviously sand on us all as well. We decide to try out the fitness center so we pack up our 1 & 5 year old in our wagon along with our towels, soaps, shampoos, clothes, etc (because mind you, this is a completely separate building so we have to haul all of our items needed with us). Get to the fitness center, no elevator. I call and they tell us we have to use the stairs. How would we truly clean ourselves without all of our items? That was it for me. I ended up going to cancel the remainder of my stay and requesting a refund.
