Disappointing Experience at Hampton Inn – Florence, SC (3000 W Radio Dr)
My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Florence Center was extremely disappointing and far from the quality I’ve come to expect from the Hilton brand. My family and I reserved two rooms and unfortunately experienced multiple serious issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.
Upon arrival, it was clear that the rooms had not been properly cleaned. One of the mattresses had large, dark stains that appeared to be either red or brown—completely unacceptable from a health standpoint. The room also had visible mold, chewing tobacco left behind, and thick dust in the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. In the second room, the bathroom sink leaked heavily onto the floor, the shower had visible dirt buildup, and the floors had not been cleaned properly.
To make matters worse, we were wrongly charged a pet fee for our service animal, despite informing the front desk staff (Stacey) at check-in that both my husband and I are disabled veterans traveling with a trained service animal. We’ve always disclosed this information and are well aware of our rights under federal law. This charge felt not only unjust but discriminatory.
The situation escalated when we extended our stay over the phone with an employee named Shaun, who never inquired about the service animal. Later that day, during a migraine episode I was experiencing, our daughter took the animal out for a walk. Shaun questioned her inappr
