With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this spacious, modern cabin is perfect for large families looking for outdoor fun. Couples looking for privacy and romance will also find it here.

First thing’s first: divvy up the three bedrooms! Want to claim the primary bedroom? You’ll be happy to discover a cozy queen bed, with plenty of natural light and high ceilings. This spacious room has plenty of storage space and an overhead fan for warmer days.

Kids will fit perfectly in the second bedroom, which comes with one double bed and two twin beds. And the third bedroom also works great for couples or kids, with one double bed, tons of closet space, and a cozy cave atmosphere for the deepest sleep of your life.

There’s so much to love about this cabin, but one of its most underrated features is the three bathrooms! Because who wants to waste energy fighting for bathroom time? Two are full bathrooms with vanities and large mirrors, and the third is a half-bath. One of the fulls has a luxurious soaker tub and separate walk-in glass shower, and toilet with a door for privacy. The other has a shower-tub combo. And make good use of the complimentary toiletries, fresh linens and towels!

Now that you’ve unpacked and settled in, it’s time to explore the home! Spend time in the spacious main living area. This wood-paneled living room with high ceilings, rustic decor, and huge windows will give you that magical chalet feeling. Relax together on the couches around the wood fireplace and toss on a movie to relax. Or challenge each other to a game of foosball.

Next up: the game room! This fun recreation room has plenty of board games and Pac-Man to keep your family entertained. Enjoy the fun pops of color, vintage decorations and neon lights as you play.

Time to eat? We’ve got you covered with a full, modern kitchen (this definitely isn’t your average cabin!). Brew some of the complimentary coffee or tea, then cook up something tasty using the stainless steel appliances. Then head to either the cute breakfast bar or large dining room table to feast on your meal together and enjoy great conversation. You can also eat at our four-person backyard table on a sunny day.

Okay, it’s time for the best part. Having fun in the great outdoors! Our cabin is totally decked out with top-notch outdoor features for your group to savor. Spend your days or nights on the spacious wraparound porch, with its ample patio furniture.

When the stars come out, gather around the fire pit or lounge in the hammock under the glow of the string lights. Or take a late-night dip in the full hot tub. Our lower level patio area also has a seating area and covered outdoor pool table to make things more interesting.

The Neighborhood

Our Meadowlark Cabin property is located within the gated community of Leatherwood Mountains resort. This private luxury community is nestled in a quiet, secluded region Ferguson, NC, with incredible scenery at every turn.

While this area is all about communing with nature and having fun outdoor adventures, you also won’t be totally disconnected from conveniences. This resort is in close proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Linville, and Wilkesboro.

In Blowing Rock, visitors can take the scenic Blowing Rock hike, grab a pint at Blowing Rock Brewing Co, shop at the Tanger Outlets, or take a scenic ride on the Tweetsie Railroad. And in Boone, browse the charming Mast General Store or Watauga County Farmers Market, or grab a drink at Appalachian Mountain Brewery.

Wilkesboro is another charming town with some interesting sites. Visit the historic Wilkes Heritage Museum, enjoy a local beer at TwoBoros Brewery, or embark on a kayaking or paddle boarding adventure at W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir.

Looking for a day in the city? The good news is, you’re also within 1-2 hours of Winston-Salem and the capital city of Charlotte. These cities have tons of options for arts, dining, and entertainment.

Getting There/Transit

Most of our guests arrive in their own personal or rented vehicles.

The nearest airport to our property in Ferguson, NC is Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO / KGSO) in Greensboro, about 89 miles away. The drive from the airport to Meadowlark Cabin takes around 1 hr 35 mins. We also provide guests with driving instructions with pictures upon booking.

Other Details to Note:
This property is located within a gated community, monitored by security cameras at the gates for guests’ safety. The cabin itself is installed with a security camera, which records audio and video. The camera is not directed at private areas.

VRBO renters require accidental damage protection insurance to stay at this property.

We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor weather conditions (for example during snow season) or harsh winds and weather conditions knocking out the wifi and power. In these types of events, our cancellation policy stands. While these instances are few and far between, we please ask that you are patient as we work to resolve them as quickly as possible.

- For guests interested in experience the thrilling adventure of the Zipline course, Zipline fees apply, which are separately determined by Leatherwood Mountains resort and not included in your cabin booking. Make sure to reserve your weekend spot. (Zipline course is only open on the weekends).
