"Effingham is my typical stop when I travel for work. I used to stay at the LaQuinta across the street from this hotel, but it has really become ragged and worn down over the last two years. This hotel is much newer and their housekeeping team is doing a great job. Every time I stay here, my room is very clean, as is the lobby, parking lot, etc. The little details matter and they are on top of things. I appreciate that and will continue to be a regular customer."

The staff was fabulous in checking in guests who were seeking shelter during the threat of a tornado as well as meeting their needs.
They remained calm, collected, kind and caring throughout the evening!
I was most impressed that they had two rooms available for shelter in the event that the tornado was spotted in the vicinity!"

"We stayed here on our way to Michigan from Arkansas. The lady at check in last night was very nice. My husband went down after we checked in to get bedding for the little sofa bed & he met the owner, who was also very nice. The room was clean and everything was as it should be. We would definitely stay here again. "

Now, in 2025, it's an $80 place to get 8 hours of sleep before getting back on the road. Hot Tip: Their system will say it can't charge your credit card for the $100 deposit, even if you have money.
