We had to sign a sort of indemnity document so whilst we did that he went into the room and put the Champagne I had requested (A great choice within the bounds of the budget I had set) into a big bucket of ice for us. We were escorted to our room shortly after and given a brief walkthrough to show us how everything worked, which keys are for which door, etc. There is a booklet...

"Fine stay (4 nights). Good location. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Very good coffee (great barista). Rooms a bit run-down. And limited service at the pool area (strange that you have to go down a floor to get service) Internet unstable and not able to have online Zoom or Teams meetings. "

"Why do you have to pay extra for wifi, while staying on a 4-star hotel? It should be part of the room pr. definition. Secondly they wanted me to to deposit R100 to use the phone on my room. Do they think I pay R 1500 for a room and the runs from the phonebill? They had my creditcard on file, too."
