"Although just 1 night, Our stay was amazing- When checking in the Older Gentleman was so welcoming and friendly. He explained rules of the property clearly and directed us to our little cottage. The cottage itself was a small studio style and it had a beautiful ocean view and was reasonably priced and perfect for a little romantic getaway."

"Great stay and experience. It's difficult to describe, but felt detached from urban or downtown life. Enjoyed the peace but also enjoyed the option of a quick drive or bike ride to DT SLO, Pismo, or AG. "

"Super clean. Great amenities. Well stocked. Fantastic location. The only two reasons it didn’t get the highest rating across the board are because we arrived 45 minutes early and were told we couldn’t check in early even though there was no activity at the house and the property is not fully fenced so when I sat outside with my dog I had to worry about something catching her attention that might cause her to run into the street. Other than that I only have great things to say about The Orchid...

"Perfect little getaway. I loved that they had a game room that had a toddler kitchen with all the play food to go with it plus a ton of other fun games for kids and adults. Good location. Close to beach and grocery store. Cant wait to plan our next trip"

"There was no table inside, just TV trays. We were able to cook some meals while there but it was not convenient for eating. The gas grill was fairly dirty and we decided to not use it. There was a table and chairs outside but they were not clean and the metal chairs had no cushions that we had access to. "This was the 4th time my family, and I stayed at the Pink Gem, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We just love the location! It is so nice to sit and enjoy the ocean views with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at the end of the day. I have recommended this place to others!"

"Awesome retro style. Large living room and great views. Bedrooms are nicely appointed. However, the deck needs some maintenance. Plants are dying from lack of water, the railings have a lot of mold and lichens, and the decking could use some work. There is also a lot of street noise when sitting on the deck, but you cannot hear it while inside. The main bathroom shower is difficult to maneuver due to the walk-in tub for seniors. In addition, I was charged a different price than originally...

"Had a nice little stay here for four days. It was a nice in-between meet up with my daughter from LA, I from the Bay Area. The house is just as is pictured, wonderful yard (we had an our little pups), and good location for walks around the lagoon, up to the beach. Easy access to other community amenities. There was a storm related electrical hiccup, which was quickly responded to and resolved with the manager's and PG&E. I recommend this place, and would consider staying here again! Enjoy!P.S....

"Hotellet og værelset er fint. Problemet med hotellet er politikken overfor kunderne. Profit er nøgleordet. Inden vi ankom til hotellet, havde jeg modtaget en mail om opgradering til specialpris. Ved check in blev jeg bedt om at betale $25 pr. nat for parkering. Jeg fandt en gratis parkeringsplads udenfor hotellets område (det var nemt at finde en parkeringsplads i nærheden - september måned). Det er normalt at et hotel reserverer et beløb på ens kreditkort for en kort periode. Ikke en hel måned som dette hotel. Det er uforskammet. Hotellet har hævet $10 på min kredirkort uden at sende en faktura. Måske det er de to vand på værelset, som vi har betalt for - eller måske kaffen? Jeg havde på forhånd paraderne oppe i forhold til hotellet, og valgte derfor ikke at bruge en dollar på hotellet. Der er mange andre muligheder i området. Endelig blev vi forstyrret en nat af et par på naboværelset, som skændes i timevis. Det kan hotellet dog ikke gøre for."
