Avoid This Hotel – Extremely Poor Management and Unprofessional Front Desk
I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent stay at the Ramada by the Airport was one of the most disappointing and frustrating hospitality experiences I’ve had in years of frequent travel.
Upon checking in, we quickly discovered several maintenance issues in the room:
• The shower exhaust fan was not working at all, causing the bathroom to become extremely hot, steamy, and claustrophobic during showers.
• There was visible mold growing on the shower walls.
• The bathtub drain was completely clogged, making it hard to use the tub.
When I politely approached the front desk for assistance, the manager’s response was shocking. Instead of offering any solution or empathy, he rolled her eyes at me and straight forward says sorry cant help you on this. An older gentleman then proceeded to lecture me about how exhaust fans work, suggesting the issue was simply because I was taking a “hot water shower”. The tone was condescending and dismissive.
I understand that not every technical issue can be fixed instantly, but basic professionalism, respect, and courtesy toward guests should be the minimum standard — especially from management. Unfortunately, that was entirely absent here.
After getting nowhere with the hotel, I contacted Expedia. Their team was understanding and professional. Given our frequent travel history with them, they promptly arranged for us to be moved to the Four Points by Shereton.
