Beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on a box spring more than a mattress. House smelled of overwhelming cleaning product the whole time we were there. Bathtub drain was clogged with gross lumps of hair and barely drained and bathroom fan only made an insanely loud sound that made it impossible to use. House really needs some better maintenance and upgrades.

Worst Stay and Bad Customer Service

This property had the makings of a nice place, good layout&location & new sofas, but it was by far the worst stay I've ever had&would drive me back to using hotels if that had been an option this weekend. We arrived on Fri &after falling asleep, the smoke detector battery started going dead &began beeping. It kept us up ALL night long. I spent the night with 1 pillow under &1 on top of my head to keep the noise out. I tried calling for assistance in the morning, but was unable to get anyone on the phone or even leave a voicemail. Meanwhile, every mattress in the place was horrible. Think summer camp cots with sheets that were so scratchy that even Walmart could make them more comfortable. There is a street light that shines into one of the BR's,1 of the eyes on the stove did not work ,& 1 of the bathroom sinks was slow draining. When I finally was able to get the property mgr on the phone, she informed me that they did not have anybody to fix any of these things over the weekend but that she could be out in an hour to replace the battery in the smoke detector. We discussed the possibility of 1night's refund but was told she'd have to discuss it with the owner and she'd call me back. She did not so I asked to see her when I dropped the keys off on our way out of town. I was told she was unavailable & would call me later which she did not. I called again 2 days later & was told that a $50 refund was all she could give. My advice to anyone is to stay away from this place!

We spent most of our time on the porch. So peaceful! The house had everything & I could tell it’s been recently update. The kitchen was better stocked than any other I’ve ever stayed at Edisto (been coming for 30yrs) New furniture & very clean!

Perfect

We loved Edisto and Botany Bay. The house was so perfect. The kitchen was awesome!! We plan to stay again and we hope to stay in this house again!!! Everything was clean, cozy and welcoming. LOVED IT!!!!

Awesome stay!

Everything about this rental was amazing! If I had to comment on one thing it would be that the couch and loveseat are past their prime. Very hard for senior citizens to sit in!

Nice, clean, and quiet

Very peaceful home about a block and half away from the beach. The layout was nice for a big family. Having a private bathroom attached to both of the spare bedrooms made it nice for everyone to have their own space. We stayed in October, the beaches were nice and not busy at all. Edisto was an adorable little beach town to visit!

The property was perfect for what our family needed; 100 yards from the beach, four bed rooms, and the house had everything we needed. The entire rents process was also very easy.

"Caution!"

Honestly, the house itself was fine. The location was great. Easy walk to the beach. Could have been a little cleaner, especially the loveseat! I would, however, encourage to the owner of the property to have a discussion with the rental company regarding the condition the house was left in from the prior occupants. For example: - Caution Tape on the left hand side of the deck at the bottom of the steps, and at the top, but the rental company said "don't worry about the caution tape - everything is fine." Should you have removed it, maybe?? - Apparently 3 toilets had been replaced some time prior to our stay, but all 3 huge boxes were still left under the house where we parked. The 3 old toilets were still under the house as well, but a little more hidden around the back. - A lid to the tank of a toilet was left on the top railings of the deck. We measured the rain with it. :) Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Needs some work

There are open write-ups from previous guests that haven't been addressed. The washing machine door crashes to the floor (watch your feet!), the ice maker doesn't work or isn't hooked up, and the blinds in the front two windows are missing multiple slats (so, no privacy and no sleeping in). Other than these write-ups, the property was nice and we enjoyed our vacation very much. Note: bring your own wine glasses!

Marillos Miracle

House was great. Only a short walk to the beach. We had one room with no overhead light working and also the door when locked could be simply pushed or pulled open. Maid service should also do a better job cleaning the floors between guests. I had to sweep up a few areas when we got in. Washer & dryer worked well. The 2 queen beds need new mattresses. Kitchen was well stocked and clean. All linens were very clean (very important) and bathrooms were very clean as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay! This house was perfect for our group and a great location! We would stay here again.

Fun Week - Decent Weather

Our week at Morillo's Miracle was enjoyable. The short block and a half walk to the beach was easy. Loved sitting on the little screened porch, especially during morning coffee. The house was comfortable and clean except for moldy shower curtain liners in two of the three bathrooms. Place needs a new dishwasher, as the door is sprung and the bottom rack wants to throw the dishes on the floor. New vertical blinds in the two front bedrooms need to be replaced, too, as slats are missing - felt a little exposed. Would look forward to renting again if the noted issues are fixed.

Great beach house

We enjoyed the house! Was great for young kids and a short walk to the beach. The bed could have been a little more comfortable and curtains would go a long way. We loved the size of the kitchen and it had everything we needed.

Nature, Shade & a Short Walk To The Beach

The house was amazing for location. Just a short walk to the Beach. We also had deer wander through the neighborhood in the evening. It was an amazing experience to observe them up close from the front porch. Quite neighborhood! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Pandemic Impromptu Get-Away

The house was very spacious, kitchen very well stocked with every cooking utensil you could ever need. 5 minute walk to the beach! I wish that they would update the photos. There are new kitchen counter tops, more comfy couch, and the screened-in front porch has a nice glass-top table with four chair for comfortable outdoor dining. We loved the place and would recommend to friends and go back again.
