We had a very enjoyable stay at Radisson Collection, the rooms were lovely and the check in very good. We even got a free gin and tonic. however on the first morning of our stay at breakfast a young waitress decided I needed a freshen up 😀and sprayed me with some table cleaning disinfectant. This was totally by mistake but it went over my food. I just asked the waitress to remove it and then the boss came over to enquire what happened. I told her it was a total mistake but all she wanted to know was who had done it. It is not important who did it just that it doesn’t happen to others. In my opinion thentables were just a little too close in that part of the restaurant. on the last day of our stay breakfast service was appalling. Service was too slow, not enough staff, I had to send my eggs benedict back even after waiting almost 40 mins to receive it and when I got a new one it was worse than the one I returned. Too many people were left unattended And with no explanation.

Bo på Royal Mile
Centralt beliggende hotel på Royal Mile - tæt på Edinburgh Castle samt de andre hyggelige områder tæt på Royal Mile, hvis man får lyst til at smage en whisky. Samt også tæt på de lokale hop on/hop off turistbusser. Hvis tiden tillader det, så tag en tur til Leith. Meget hjælpsomt personale på hotellet.

Very good; but pricy
Very nice. Had a little problem with the heating automatic, but the staff tried to fix it. I would say it's a very nive hotel; but it can only be a 4 as you certainly also pay for it ...

It was closed your Pic was from a year ago it is covered in scaffolding and not open for 6 months I paid in advance and had to pay again at a sister Hotel (Raddisson) who demanded £2900. when I had pd over £3400 to Expedia. Disappointing
Disappointing, we booked for radisson collection and received a call day before saying due to building work we were being moved to radisson blu, we were told our room would be upgraded 2 levels to a premium and we would get free parking so thought that was reasonable. My expectations for what we paid were pretty high, over £400 for 2 nights inc breakfast, What we got was distinctly average and no where near worth what we paid. The room was cold, dark and very dreary, no remote for TV, no milk for tea/coffee, no mini bar, no walk in shower, just a bath with shower in it. Staff at reception were pleasant and friendly so no fault there at all. Breakfast again disappointing, had to send back as it was cold for reheating! We paid extra for breakfasts but were so disappointed on the Saturday we went elsewhere on the Sunday! I’m honestly not one for complaining and had we only paid maybe £100 -£150 it would have been ok, however for what we paid s it was so disappointing, would not recommend at all!

Stay in Raddisson Blue when booked at Collection h
To whom it may concern, I booked your 5 * Collection hotel in Edinburg for a high price, without realising that as the NHS worker I have a discount. I was advised that I could get an upgrade due to this and rebooked again. Then I was told that your Collection hotel will be still closed at the time of my stay. So I was rebooked at the Radisson Blue, which was disappointing in itself as this is 4* hotel. I was promised further upgrade if available. The hotel was empty on the day if our arrival. I asked reception for the promised upgrade but was told that this was already done. The room was a suit, which I was promised initially but see the photos below please. Stains, scratches, really not something that you expect when you intend to stay in a 5* hotel and especially when you pay for it! Disappointing even more knowing that the hotel was empty and closed for long periods of time due to SARS-CoV2 pandemic and at least stains could of been cleaned! Sehr gute Lage! Ansonsten kein 5-Sterne-Standard, höchstens 4. Geschmacklose Lobby, düsterer Frühstücksraum. Frühstück auch dürftig. Zimmer dafür ganz nett, aber kein Luxus. Ein gesichtsloses Hotel wie jedes andere, mit vernünftigem Standard. Nichts Besonderes. Personal allerdings sehr freundlich.

Everything was perfect. Reception Staff were friendly and very helpful even when I collected my car from the sister hotel Radisson Blu car park. The room and location were excellent. Breakfast and the lady in the breakfast room were lovely. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Everything was fantastic, the staff were great. They were so helpful, attentive and friendly, anything you needed they got it. The cleanliness of the rooms and public bathrooms in the hotel were outstanding really surprised in the best way possible. The beds were comfy, you can cast Netflix and Spotify to the tv so you are always entertained in the room. 10/10 stay and will definitely be visiting again.

September City Break
Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Bed and rainfall shower were particular highlights. Location was perfect for a city centre break with little to no noise from outside heard. Reception staff were polite and helpful as were waiting staff in restaurant. The only improvement that could be made would be that service at breakfast was a little slow but staff were keen to apologise and rectify this when it was raised.

Hotel di design moderno posizionato in modo ottimale a due passi dalla Royal Mile. Mi hanno positivamente colpito sia la pulizia esemplare della struttura sia la cortesia dello staff. Inoltre, ho riscontrato la massima attenzione per le procedure di contrasto al Covid-19 negli ambienti comuni. Alla reception ci hanno offerto un upgrade gratuito alla camera di categoria superiore e ci hanno permesso di effettuare un check in anticipato ed un late check out. Ottima la colazione. Non ho riscontrato elementi negativi durante il mio soggiorno.

Great hotel, great location.
Beautiful hotel in an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh. Check in was friendly and quick. Our room was on the third floor overlooking Victoria Street. Very quiet. A small room but with plenty of space and good storage. The bedside tables are rather low but we found we adjusted to this. Bathroom is lovely with a fabulous walk in shower with rainfall head. Felt very high end. Super comfortable beds with soft linen, good pillows and a duvet that was cosy but not heavy. Air conditioning in the room was a bonus. Car parking was at the Radisson Blu hotel resulting in a short walk up the Royal Mile. Covid meaures were good throughout the hotel but meant that the bar was not open for evening drinks. Not major but would’ve been nice to relax with a drink in the evening without having to leave the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

Not particularly happy with the fact that although the hotel had been booked since January we were not informed that there would be no facilities open at the hotel and also not told at check in also when emailed the fact it was a special birthday celebration no effort was made although they said they would if they could the hotel certainly wasn’t full we struggled to find anywhere to eat first night

Edinburgh staycation!
Our stay was very good as we should have been on a cruise for my husband’s 60th but this was cancelled due to Covid. The hotel was excellent & in a prime location for the Castle & the Royal Mile. The only negative was the main restaurant & bar was closed, which would have been good to know in advance as we then had to go out each night for dinner and we had planned to stay in the hotel for meals

Lovely hotel but we booked this hotel as it had a nice bar, so if we had any problems accessing the local bars due to Covid 19 we would have somewhere to go. Unfortunately when we arrived to check in we were told the bar was closed by could use the Radisson Blu bar, this was disappointing but not a problem! Come 1930 we were struggling to access local bars so went to the Radisson Blu bar to be told that it was full and could not get a drink. I appreciate that during these times (Covid19) things are very different but if we had been told the bar would be closed we would of chosen another hotel. We also booked breakfast in the hotel for the Sunday morning which was lovely and very well organised but were then charged for 4 breakfasts instead of 2, which has now been refunded. We have used the Radisson hotel on numerous occasions without any problems but were very disappointed on this occasion.

Room was perfect, clean tidy and modern, service at reception was hassle free,polite and quick. Our only disappointment was the bar bein closed,Which wasn’t stated when we booked. We were directed to the sister hotel where the bar was open but on arrival we’re turned away as bar was full and staff not very helpful! No option to book a table either

Nice but too hot!
Lovely hotel in a great spot. Room could not be cooled with the AC. Also disappointing they Spa was not open as this was a reason for booking and there was no announcement of the facility not being available at booking.

Amazing
We had an amazing stay. We booked a premium room but were very lucky to be upgraded to a junior suite. The views from the room were incredible looking over Arthur's seat and the city. We will 100% be rebooking again in the future.

Een geweldige locatie voor een stedentrip, het personeel was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het hotel is mooi, schoon en gewoon goed. Vlak bij de locatie zijn heel veel leuke restaurantjes en winkeltjes. Eigenlijk overal vlakbij dus op loopafstand (wij zijn wel fit en goed ter been) Kortom een echte aanrader!!!
