"This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem."

"We were initially taken aback by the steep, and narrow hill on which the B&B is situated. Parking was limited, so we ended up in a car park in town. After dragging our luggage up to the residence, we were out of breath. Inside, more steps up to the room. And, oh, what a room. Not large, but lovingly kitted out with Victoria-era style fittings. The pillows are a tad thick and firm. Hard to on the neck. We slept nine hours! Breakfast is a to-go bag in a tiny in-Rom fridge. Bananas, granola bars,...
