"We had a 3 day stay with our 4 and 6 year old boys for their first “up north” experience. They very much enjoyed hunting for crayfish and snails by the dock. The water was nice and clear. Neil was very responsive and luckily we didn’t need any help during our stay but he called to check in that everything went well with check in. Only 10 minutes or so from all the experiences in Minocqua! "

"Back yard had weeds 2 feet tall. Between deck and pier are many tree roots above ground. Steps down into the water from the pier were covered with algae. That was just like stepping on black ice. My right foot slipped and my left foot got caught in the steps and went behind me. Had to go to Ortho doctor when I got home. Left knee has a sprained MCL. My left knee and left hip are replacements, so this was actually very fortunate. It could have been much worse! The cottage was great. Lake view...

"The cabin was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the king bedroom which had a good sized walk-in closet. We really appreciated the extra blankets and throw blankets that were available. We did little cooking in the kitchen, but the gas grill was great. The screen porch was wonderful. That's where we ate out meals. While the kitchen was well-stocked, it should be noted that there are no condiments or spices available (as per Health Department rules, apparently). Three things that keep me from...

"The property was as described, perfect for two. The distance to the water was great, just a very short walk. Lots of deer roaming. Great location. "

"Everything was clean, tidy, and well stocked. The only thing was that the directions to get the key were incorrect. There wasn’t a lockbox- instead the side door was left unlocked and the key was by the tv. We were coming back from the rodeo, it was very late, and unsettling that the door had been unlocked. Everything ended up being ok."
