"It was both a two day, one night business and social visit to Cape Town. The scenery is beautiful & the architecture stunning! The cycling & hiking trails were a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed both restaurants. There was no time to fit in a wine tasting but we will definitely be back for an extended stay."

"I was asking for a silent room and they placed me in a room amongst families with children having some family celebration, everyone shouting in the middle of the night, and staff not doing anything about it. Children screaming and crying from 05:00 in the morning. There was a terrible smell in my bathroom and I mentioned it every day. The first 2 days they tried to fix it and when they failed to fix it, they suddenly said that there was no bad smell… I do NOT recommend and I shall not go that...

"The room was large and nicely furnished. The provided washer and dryer were an excellent bonus. It was a bit of a drive into Capetown, but having a farm store on site, alpacas and donkeys right outside our cottage and being able to see table mountain from the property were nice touches. The atmosphere was quiet and safe and the staff were friendly."

"I only stayed one night but I will definitely return for longer stays. The owner-manager could not have been kinder or more helpful as I was there for doctors' office visits at the Panorama Medicentre, a short walkable 1 km away. The bed and one bedroom suite were the most comfortable I have stayed in for quite sometime. The breakfast (included) was homemade eggs, bacon, toast and they even had decaf coffee for me. I love Paperbark Manor and will come again."

"Very good hospitality. A kitchen everyone could use, which was separate to the rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the getaway and the toddler enjoyed herself as well. Roger, who is one of the staff, was very helpful and also great with assisting in anything we needed with a speedy service. The guesthouse is also in walking distance to the beach and to the shops. Which is very convenient. Will definitely use their accommodation again. "

"Safe parking. Wifi worked ok. Goood rooms, only the noice from the high way (30meters away) is a big problem as the windows are NOT soundproof. Most rooms (with small windows) have a great vuiw to the Table mountains. But else thehotel is fare from everything. The restaurant is VERY expensive and the food is not that fantastic to justify such a high price -no other alternatives nearby. The waiters have no clue about what they serve and seams more interested in watching sport on the TV. Overall...

"First class service, owners could not do enough for me. Best Guest house I have stayed in for a longtime. Food, room and overall feel could not have been better, highlight super quality bed for first class sleep. suttle service in and out over the time was also a great feature and fair price "
