I arrived and specifically requested a smoke free room. Got to the room and it stunk of smoke and had no hot water. Although very clean the standard of the room was old and not really up grand mercure level. To their credit the staff responded rapidly and upgraded my room to one with Hot Water and no smell of smoke, which was nice and professional. But to be honest I probably wouldn’t come back as the maintenance management is clearly not up to scratch and for a transit hotel you want something reliable.

The team is excellent. A quiet place near the airport or the metro. The breakfast is really good and everyone of the team is answering quickly and professionally to all your needs. Nice swimming pool. And another one at the roof. We’ll come back for sure

The overall stay was fine, but I didn't like the broken furniture, such as the wobbly dining table and room partition slide, which felt like it would break anytime. The service, although courteous and polite, was also very slow. I asked for the extra Tea sachets and it took almost an hour for it to be delivered to my room, and that too after a few phone calls to the reception.

Het Grand Mercure hotel in Dubai laat helaas veel te wensen over en voldoet niet aan de verwachtingen die men zou hebben van een 5-sterren accommodatie. De gebreken zijn talrijk en variëren van het ontbreken van services aan het zwembad, gesloten poolbar, slecht ontbijt met beperkte keuzes en herhaaldelijk niet aangevulde kamerbenodigdheden zoals water en koffie. Een van de teleurstellingen is het delen van faciliteiten met het naburige Ibis Styles hotel, wat kan resulteren in een minder exclusieve ervaring voor de gasten. Het ontbreken van valet parking na 01:00 uur 's avonds is ook een ongemak, waardoor gasten zelf hun auto moeten parkeren. Bovendien lijkt het hotel niet adequaat te reageren op klachten en verbeterpunten, wat duidt op een gebrek aan aandacht voor gasttevredenheid. De ervaring wordt verder aangetast door de matige kwaliteit van het ontbijt, met herhaaldelijk beperkte keuzes en ondermaatse kwaliteit van etenswaren zoals brood, koffie en fruit. Het delen van zwembadfaciliteiten met andere gasten die zich niet aanvaardbaar gedragen, waaronder ongepast gedrag en storende activiteiten, draagt bij aan een onprettige sfeer en een gevoel van onveiligheid. De roomservice lijkt ook ondermaats te zijn, met bezorgd eten in kartonnen dozen zonder nodige bestek. Deze accumulatie van tekortkomingen en problemen maakt het duidelijk dat het Grand Mercure hotel in Dubai niet voldoet aan de standaarden die men mag verwachten van een 5-sterren accommodatie, eerder 2 sterren

I was little disappointed as I had booked Grosvenor Suite well in advance, but I was offered two 1 BHK appartments. Moreover, one of the reasons I booked the hotel because I saw somewhere that they provide airport transfers, but I was informed that the service from airport to hotel has been discontinued. Overall, my stay was comfortable and breakfast had lot of options to choose from.

This hotel has been the most disappointing five-star establishment I've ever visited. Here's why: 1) The air conditioning was out of order for three out of the five days of our stay, which was particularly unbearable in Dubai's scorching heat. 2) Despite reserving a premium suite with a king bed, we were given a regular suite with a queen bed. 3) Soap liquid was missing from some of the bathrooms. 4) The shower had issues with its ceiling and paint, with paint particles falling on us during showers. However, to be fair, there were a couple of positive aspects: 1) Its proximity to the airport, though this point is debatable. 2) The cleaning services were commendable.

The hotel is clean but I booked this hotel based on the advertised free hotel shuttle. When I reached the airport I contacted the hotel and they said they have stopped this service back in 2023. False advertising. Big extra cost to take taxi

I really liked Grand Mercure. I’d stay there again. The breakfasts were wonderful. Omelettes to order. Zakariyae Bensbih, the Cluster Duty Manager, was there for me all the time with my technical problems. Technicians Kasif and Brahma helped me regularly since the hotel is kind of in the 22d Century. Still, A , 5 stars. Stay here!
