"The old house was charming. It could benefit from a really good, deep clean. The bathrooms and beds/linens were very clean and the kitchen was functional. We didn't use the outdoor area but it was nice and well suited to a comfortable place to hang out on a nice day. The town has food and necessity shopping available and easily accessible. Overall we were pleased with our overnight stay. "

"We traveled to Advance for a long weekend to view the total solar eclipse. Host provided excellent instructions for arrival. Every room was as described. Nice decor - including vintage duck decoys. Grocery shopping was nearby. We had a delicious meal and delicious drinks at El Mexicano restaurant. There were Subway and McDonald’s fast food options nearby as well."

"While we were in the middle of nowhere, it was still great. We kind of expect middle of no where when we visit family in Wappapello! The house was absolutely adorable and they had everything there for us! We booked it for Christmas, and the day after it was booked the owner called to ask if we wanted a Christmas tree and decorations. I was stunned and absolutely thrilled. We definitely weren’t expecting to have decorations but it was wonderful! We definitely want to go back on our next visit!"

"A beautiful, spacious three-bedroom home. All the comforts including a fully equipped kitchen, but away from the hustle and bustle. I spent much of an afternoon lounging out back among the trees and listening to the birds. Then in the evening, I could listen to the chirps of the frogs. The hosts provided just the right level of communication - not intrusive, but enough to be sure I didn't need anything. "This home is amazing. We have traveled all over the world, and this was one of our all-time favorite houses. Pictures don’t do it justice! The decor is interesting and layered without feeling cluttered or like you’re in someone else’s private space. Fully stocked kitchen- we enjoyed a nice dinner in the historic dining room, and grilled by the pool for another great evening in the large enclosed patio space.
