We understand your frustration. However, this is an ordinance set forth by the City of Auburn Hills, not Wyndham or this property specifically. You were given a full refund for your reservation so the one-star review is a shock to us since we were never given the opportunity to serve you. Thank you for your feedback.

Your concerns have been noted. We would like to relay that upon check in, every guest is notified that we are under FULL renovations here at our property. It is clearly spelled out in the Guest Policies that are required to be signed at check in. At any point during the check in process, a guest is allowed to cancel if they do not want to stay because of the renovations. It is always a surprise for us to receive a low review score because of renovations, when all sites have been updated with this information. Thank you for your response.

We do however take whatever measures we can to accommodate our guests. In some instances, those measures are limited to offering a cancellation of the reservation free of penalty.We apologize for your less than favorable experience.
