"Wet carpet and a broken phone in our first room. Staff quickly moved us down the hallway to a suitable room. Our three night stay resulted in only one visit from housekeeping, but three incidents of the key cards not working and needing staff assistance to reset them. Dirty elevator with a sticky floor and broken buttons held on with scotch tape. Breakfast was plentiful and hot as promised. The lobby was clean and comfortable. Rooms were clean and what you would expect from this property level....

"The road noise from the highway was absolutely horrid. I didn't get any sleep whatsoever. We will likely stay in Effingham a couple more times this year and are going to make it a point to get further from the highway."
