"The staff are lovely and helpful and hotel is quite nice. Its location is also very central. The hotel room was quite cold, however, due to gaps between the windows and the window frame. The hotel offers heaters but these are reasonably pricey. I was able to manage in November but I suspect it would be miserable in December and January. Also the hot water supply was inadequate. It took 20-25 mins to heat up and I found that I had to turn up the heat every minute to keep it reasonably warm."

"I really liked this little budget hotel. It is in a fantastic location in Kolkata within walking distance of all kinds of coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. Staff are friendly and courteous. They have a cute little cafe attached to the hotel that had great food and was always busy. All day breakfast plates were especially good. It is basic, but clean. Great value for money! "Goomtee Tea Garden estate is a lovely place to escape for a weekend. The staff are exceptionally friendly and kind, and of course it was lovely to have fresh delicious tea grown on the estate. Staff will arrange a tour of the tea plantation as well as the factory upon request and can also help arrange a ticket for a toy train ride. Meals are wholesome and prepared with love by the resident cook, who appears after every meal to see if the guests liked the food. "

"There was nothing to like about the property besides a couple of helpful staff. Overall, unkept and unhygienic. The bathroom smelt of sewage, and ofter there would be a loud gurgling sound of water flowing down the sewage pipe from another floor. On arrival, we noticed that the bed line had been used and smelling. They changed this on our asking. Food overall was reasonably good, though we were concerned about the hygiene aspect given the overall ambience. We booked this property not expecting...
