Close to everything in town
Very nice location, only a short walk to an overlook where we watched sunsets every night. House is very well stocked with extra towels, sheets, pillows, paper towels, etc. Others had left behind some pantry goods (we did the same) so it was nice to have some spices, cooking oil, coffee, etc to use. Plenty of kitchen equipment available to use for making meals. Some nice little toys/coloring books etc. for kiddos. Great to have washer/dryer available. Only real downside was that the cleanliness wasn't that great. Master bath bathtub was so clogged with hair/gunk that it wouldn't drain properly, and there were a few other areas that look like they'd been skipped at last cleaning. I did have one particular cleanliness issue I contacted the owner about, and they responded quite quickly, which was great.

Family get together
Very nice property; convenient location to shopping and beach. Was accurately described, clean and spacious. Would highly recommend and would stay again. We enjoyed the visit to Cresent City and especially that we found this reasonably priced property whete we comfortably could be together. .

Very lovely
This place was very nice and convenient to the beach and town. I definitely recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable the place had been recently remodeled. The place is well maintained. I forgot my phone charger and they gladly mailed it back to me. (Thank you)

Coastal getaway
Great little place to stay with everything you need. Very cozy and great location. Only issue we had was checking in. There was no communication with check in info. 30-45min after check in time I had to call the owner who was very helpful and was able to assist us with checking into the house.

Simple House
This was fine for a 3 night stay while in town for work. Note: this is a duplex, the master bedroom wall is a shared wall. But the neighbors were quiet-so it was ok. Only a wall heater for the whole house but it stayed warm enough. Very nice TV but no instructions so we figured it out. Kitchen was fine, noisy refrigerator. Couch had a few crumbs from the last guests otherwise it was clean. Would probably stay here again.

Great stay!
House was the perfect size for us. Was like the comfort of home. Close to the beach and the forest for hiking. House was clean and well stocked for extra blankets and towels. We all enjoyed our stay!

Nobody knew the passcode to get in
I never received an email with check-in instructions. The owner did not know the code to get in. I had to call the property manager, who did not answer, for the passcode. I spent an hour waiting to get the keypad code to get into the duplex because nobody knew what it was. Once I got in, the place was as advertised and was good for my trip.

You know, we didn't turn and leave, but I wouldn't come back
It was kind of a rough stay. Waiting all day for the door code to come and 15 minutes before check-in, we bothered him via vrbo messaging and he sent it over. So, nothing to panic about, but not great. The house was just okay. It smelled musty and just not great. We aired it out and felt it improved enough to close the windows. The bed had dog hair, the couch smelled pretty bad, every floor had dog hair....enough that when you went to put shoes on you were scraping dog hair off your feet. I pulled the blanket off the couch to use while watching a show and it smelled so bad I threw it in a wash cycle. I had to wash dishes as I pulled them out of the cupboard. There was enough dog hair to wonder if they had cleaned before we arrived. I suppose the house kind of felt like an unkept bachelor pad and I would not be pumped about having to stay there again. We didn't run for the hills but we were excited to check out. So, you won't die, but I wouldn't recommend it. PS. if the person renting next door snores, expect to get very little sleep. Paper thin walls.

Great little house near the beach
Stayed with our family. Short walk to the beach and peer. Very clean and well setup for a family. Owner was very responsive when there was a problem with the washer and did everything he could to make it right. Overall a wonderful experience.

I loved the area of this property. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. It was close to food, stores and walking distance to beach and lighthouse. Great driving distance to attractions and state parks. The house was clean, roomy with comfy beds. Kitchen has cooking utensils, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The living room has a couch to watch Netflix and dining area has table and chairs to sit down. These are just some of the great things this house has to offer. I would love to stay here again.

Duplex
When we first arrived I was a little bummed it was a duplex as the listing says house, but VRBO does not have a duplex setting. While the listing says pet friendly, I would not agree with that. We came with our 3 dogs and upon arrival there was a note that dogs should not be left unattended. This ended up really screwing up our vacation as we typically leave dogs at home to explore and there were things we wanted to do like the aquarium that don't allow pets. Very disappointing. The couple in the duplex next door were pretty loud and sleeping was hard. Lastly, a repair man came on our last day to which the owners did not alert us. It was pretty crazy and made us feel very uneasy that we weren't alerted or asked if this was ok.

Hello Kelly, thank you kindly for taking the time to review our vacation rental. We appreciate the feedback in order to better serve our future guests. Our pet policy is 2 dogs maximum. Your reservation had no mention of you bringing pets with you. As you can imagine, not all furry friends are well behaved when left alone. Most guests do bring kennels for their pets to remain in while their Humans are away or the backyard is fully fenced, so that is an option as well. The master bedroom is the only shared wall in the entire duplex and with those rooms providing the only access to the backyard, it can become noisy. We do apologize for any lack of sleep. We did not have a maintenance man scheduled to visit the property or we would have alerted you. We prefer to have any maintenance done while the units are not reserved. An employee from the local gas company does come by once a month and accesses the backyard to check the gas meter on days unbeknownst to us. We understand this can be alarming and will be calling them to discuss how best to approach this moving forward. Thank you again, for taking the time to leave a review. I hope you otherwise enjoyed your trip.

What's a good property for what I needed.
What's a good place to stay in fitted my needs. I don't like the fact the owner gave me the code the day off. You should have at least communicate with me a few days in advance that you would give me the code The Day-O. It was 1 day out I had to get a hold of him. Wish he let me know more in advance that I will get the code the day off.

Dog friendly duplex in great location
Clean and comfortable home with all we needed for a pleasant 3 night stay. Helpful host updated the Roku so we could watch superbowl and Olympics on 2 TVs. Clean fenced back yard for our Husky . Close to ocean , dog park and restaurants. Nice escape.

Don't Book this place
The property was very dirty. We were greeted with pile trash at the front of the property. The smell of wet dogs greeted us upon entry and upon wiping down the bed and the bathroom, the wipes came away black. See photos of the stained bed sheets, black wipes and broken closet door. Don't stay here.

Spacious and comfortable
We enjoyed getting to the coast and being able to spread out some. Everything was comfortable, although more seating would be great in living room as it is where we spent allot of time. Had a really nice time at this home.

Cresent City Family Vacation
This was a fun place to stay while we came to visit the Redwoods and beach. Cresent City beaches were super fun for the kids to collect sand dollars and see ocean life: hermit crabs and starfish. It was nice to have a cozy nice space to come back to after a fun day.

Great little spot!
Perfect little place for my Redwoods trip! Has everything you need for cooking, comfy beds and easy to park. Property overall was well taken care of - The back sliding glass door was kind of broken which was a pain, but such a minor detail. I brought my dog with me, and the back yard was the perfect size for her to stretch her legs in. Only a few blocks to the beach, and walking distance to the pier , a great little brewery, and all the town shops. Would definitely stay again if I found myself in Crescent City again.

Perfect House near the Beach
This wonderful place was beyond great for me and my family. Very dog friendly as well. The short walks to downtown and to the beaches made this trip extremely fun and very convenient. The house is nearly a block away from a great scenic beach drive, which I highly recommend. I will definitely book this house again in the future.

Perfect house for a family vacation
I went on vacation with my sister and her three kids. The house was perfect for me to have my own room and still accommodate my sister and her kids. The back yard is fenced so our dogs could go out with no concern for safety.

Very comfortable, roomy place to stay, a short walk from the beach and priced right! 3 bedrooms can be hard to find in this price range so we were glad to stumble across this. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were pretty comfortable. We loved the lighthouse and the rocky beach close by. Just a mile up the road is a beautiful stretch of sandy beach to enjoy. Freshening up the decor in the house would be my only suggestion (I suspect a male influence here), otherwise, we were very pleased with our stay!

A definite diamond!
This is a cute little duplex with a great location. It’s an easy walk to the “B” street dock and lighthouse and a short drive to Crescent Beach, our favorite spot for surf and sand. The living room is a bit sparse, could use an end and coffee table, and perhaps a lamp, but the couch and chair were very comfy. The beds were soooo comfortable and the sheets were the softest that I’ve ever slept on. It was great having two bathrooms! The kitchen is on the small side, but is extremely well stocked with everything you need to create meals! The breakfast bar could use a few stools. David, the owner, is very easy to contact and was able to talk me through getting the TV to work. All in all, a very enjoyable place to call home while visiting Crescent City!
