"We booked and paid for a large family chalet for 2 couples only to receive a cabin with 1 bedroom with twin beds and a double bed was placed in the main living area with an uncomfortable couch, a dining table and a small kitchen. No where to place suitcases, no privacy and you literally couldn’t swing a cat in there. With snow predicted at Arthur’s Pass (and a very good chance of closing the highway) we stayed only 1 night instead of 2. The reception lady charged us $300 which worked out more...

"Lovely spacious warm villa with amazing views"

"We loved the location, the views, and the double glazing. It stayed nice and warm during a wild storm. The deck was awesome. The library of books and magazines fascinating, and lots of board games and cards. However it is lacking a level of cleanliness in the kitchen. There was food left in the oven, dirty tea towels left behind, and the washing up gear and cleaning cloths need to be updated. Small things but good to have."

"The room was spacious and charming, with a heated bed that made our stay extra cozy. The amenities were just right, and we really appreciated the fresh milk provided. The kitchen area was clean, and the location was fantastic. Overall, a lovely place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!"

"This is a modern, well equipped cottage. Our host, Janette, was friendly and informative. The property is small farm with wandering chooks and even a couple of guinea fowl. It's conveniently located - only 6km from Oxford. There is a great woodburner fire for the cool weather. The extremely well equipped kitchen means self catering is very easy."
