"Right inside Cotopaxi National Park…. The heat in your room is wood burning stove. They will get the fire going for you. I think the electricity goes off at 10:00 pm. Volcano warning siren just outside compound. The restaurant is awesome. They have coca tea to help with altitude."

"Beautiful, rustique hacienda in the middle of amazing mountain landscapes. Everything is stone and wood. Very athmospheric.
Everything was comfortable and clean, and the food was good. Staff was helpful.
Only problem for us was the height sickness, but you can't blame Hacienda Los Mortinos for that. Also, it gets cold at night. The fireplace in our room kept us warm in the evening, but it was chilly in the morning. If you're a nature person you won't mind too much."

"Superb hotel! They had the kindest, most welcoming hotel staff I have ever encountered. We were warmly greeted with a welcome tea, and the lady at the front told us about the property and showed us around. There were two hot tubs, a cold plunge, and a steam room. The massage was great. Breakfast was included and had fresh fruit, eggs, little breads, juice, coffee. We also did a trail around the property and saw horses and a waterfall. The room was clean and cozy. The hot water was not working (was fixed eventually) and the place was a bit difficult to find. However, it was clean and comfortable - there was even a hot tub with jets in the bathroom. The owner tried very hard to help us. I would recommend staying, just keep the above in mind."
