"This is a once loved historical story hotel. It’s still that and those who made it memorable like Andrew the elevator butler still live on from their footsteps of love and service. Still has it after our first visit 46 years ago! "

"The stay was wonderful. However I booked the stay for 4 nights (Thurs.-Sun) and checked out Monday. The property had me for 1 night (Thurs). The front desked asked me to return Fri. Morning to add the other 3 nights. On Monday after checking they chsrged me than Expdia did. $300 more. So, pay with Expedia when booking and do not select the option to pay when you arrive. That was the only hprrible part of this trip. Other than that it was very enjoyable. "

"Great hotel with an unique stile and very spacious apartments. Also, very close to the Coronado beach and a lot of restaurants. I am recommending this hotel, but I do have some reservations. A cockroach now and then can be encountered at night. Also the bed sofa in the suite is very unpleasant if you need to use it. These two would be the only reasons for not getting 5 stars."
