"The Stables is a perfect getaway for any couple. We had such a lovely time there. We explored the local area which has many places to visit including Belvoir Castle and several nice country pubs which were ideal for a relaxed lunch or two. We also spent some lovely evenings snuggled up next to the log burner. In the early mornings we enjoyed watching the many and varied visitors to the bird table which included an adventurous squirrel who we named Tufty. It was a shame to have to leave but we...

"Lovely countryside cottage with a warm, cozy feel. Easy to find with ample parking, which made arrival simple for our family. The fireplace was a highlight and made the evenings especially relaxing. We truly wish we could have stayed longer and would happily return."

"Nicely put together house. Handy for Oakham town centre, shops, pubs etc. 20 mins to Burghley House. Comfy beds. However, please do provide guests with a bit more info about what’s what in the house…A long mirror in the double room and a loo brush in the bathroom would be useful additions"
