"Dear friends,Jim and I really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cove. We rested, cooked fancy meals, read books and enjoyed the lake.I promised to let you know if there were items that needed attention. We noted the following:1. Lower corner cupboard of the SW corner of the kitchen needs a new hinge.2.The vacuum filter needs replacing or a good cleaning.3. Window mechanism in the SW corner of the living room needs repair. Some windows do not have handles.It would be nice to have at the cabin:1....

"This was exactly what my family and I needed to have a wonderful stay in the U.P. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed (washer/dryer were so nice to have also!!)We enjoyed fishing on the dock (caught quite a few fish) and my kids even completed a puzzle to kill some time in the evening. There weren’t really any neighbors during our time there, which made for a quiet and peaceful stay. Only complaint the amount of mosquitoes outside the cottage. Otherwise, this was by far the nicest...

The house had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the kayaks and used them several times. Cell service is very spotty but the WIFI worked great. "

"We wanted a "stay on a lake" in this area, somewhere more private, where cabins aren't stacked up on each other. This place was perfect! It is simple, comfortable and fully functional. We enjoyed campfires at night, the starry sky is incredible. We caught several fish, using the rowboat. The upstairs beds are clean and comfortable. Meals were easy to prepare using the outdoor griddle, stove-top and large toaster oven. The indoor wood-burning stove came in very handy when the night temps...

"We had a great stay at this property. Very well maintained with space to spread out. Kids as well as adults had a great time fishing from the dock. We had a medical emergency the last night of our stay and were very lucky that Abbey and Nick had provided a laminated sheet with all the information we needed to find assistance. Communication with them was very easy. Would stay here again!"

"This cabin was exactly what we wanted. Nestled inside the Hiawatha National Forest on the shores of beautiful Thunder Lake! The drive in is gorgeous!! We saw deer, turkeys, a couple rabbits and something we guessed was a weasel. The cabin was so comfortable, furnished with absolutely everything you’d need for a full week of fun! The sheer blackness at night allowed us to actually see and photograph the Milky Way for the first time ever. We also watched a majestic bald eagle grab dinner from the...

"The cabin was wonderful and in a very quiet location. It was in a good location for traveling between many waterfalls and trekking trails. Driving between locations was joy due to the fall foliage. We enjoyed our stay and will be putting this cabin on our return list. "
