Salerno was a fantastic base for our tour of the Amalfi coast and itself has lots to offer in restaurants, shopping and access to the ports along the coast. "Ideal place to stay for a family of 4-5. The location is handy from the airport and just walking distance to the shops and there’s a nearby bake shop and cafe. The locals are very nice and friendly. Going to Pompeii is about 30 minutes depending on the traffic and not far if you’re visiting Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi coast in 1 day by car.
