"I was a bit hesitant staying at a Marston hotel due to previous experience bit this property restored that.
Staff from outset were welcoming and the rooms was better than expected.
Food in the restaurant was amazing.
Overall the 2 day stay was well worth it.

"Great pub, exceptionally clean, comfortable and modern rooms and super friendly staff. As a bonus, the food is of a very high standard and the Guinness was decent. Can’t fault this place in any way, stopped here to be in the area for the snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield, it was a 20 minute taxi ride from here to Sheffield Town Centre. As Arnie said….. I’ll be back 😂"

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel and really couldn’t fault it all. The staff were lovely, warm, friendly, very kind & obliging, the room had all the facilities you needed, was very clean, quiet and had fabulous views. The food in the restaurant was very good & offered a nice selection. The continental breakfast was perfect (muesli, granola, mixed berries, yoghurt etc - all my favourite things) & they even provided oatmilk. Above all that it was exceptional value, so we’ll definitely come again...

It is a beautiful old building, which has been thoughfully modernised inside.
Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, with plenty of hot water. It was also surprisingly quiet, for being in a town, with the occasional call of a pair of tawny owls.
The staff were absolutely great, and very efficiently with their service.
Breakfast was superb, with a menu to suit everyone.
Don't be put off by the hotel not serving evening...

"Fantastic locals pub with lots of atmosphere, great food. Can't speak highly enough of the village of Ashover, and the surrounding area.
The rooms are a little small but its what you expect for a pub of that age.

The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others."

"Everything was perfect,all but 2 small points....The bed was slightly uncomfortable,due to being too soft/warn....and maybe being a little bit picky, But B&b was just a little too close to main road .... otherwise,a FANTASTIC place."
