The space was clean and as described. Plenty of room for everyone in our group! The living room sectional is huge, with enough room for the entire family to relax after exciting days spend outside. The kitchen table is also very large, which we loved! Thank you for sharing this perfect home !

I really appreciated the pictures online. They showed the property as it really is, not much more than it is. . .Like many of them do. The property was comfortable, spacious enough for our group of six to be very comfortable, the beds were very comfortable, there was always enough hot water, the kitchen was very well stocked with all sorts of equipment that we needed for my son, who is a chef, to cook us wonderful meals. It is conveniently located to all activities that we wanted to participate in, Kathleen was always very available and very helpful when I called to ask a question. She deserves our highest rating.

Great home on Chincoteague Island

This vacation home was perfect for our family. This home was stocked with everything we needed and there were games/puzzles to keep us busy when it rained. We enjoyed staying here very much and we would highly recommend this home!

This place was absolutely perfect! The house was comfortable and stocked very well. We really enjoyed the porches and dock in the back of the yard. Everything was perfect and we wished time didn’t go so fast! Also the host was very responsive when we had a question.

Wonderful stay

Our stay at chincoteague was wonderful. We have been coming to Chincoteague for over 30 years and this was our favorite house/booking so far.The owner was very responsive if we had any questions. The house and property worked perfectly for our families needs and felt very welcoming. The house was spacious, kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, and had everything we needed.

beautiful house

This one of the nicest places we've stayed through this site. Every thing you could possibly need is there. We did some crabbing off the dock and had great fun.

We had a great time! Kathleen is very responsive and a great host! House was squeaky clean. The only thing I would maybe change is have a full size coffee pot in kitchen and double bed in one bedroom. Minor things Thank you for everything!

Great spot

House was very clean and beautiful kitchen well laid out with everything you need for cooking etc. Plenty of room for everyone here. Only thing missing is outside shower.

Our favorite Beach Week Location

This was our second trip to Creekside Cottage. We are a family of 6 and think this is a perfect place to have Beach Week. It is beautifully decorated and this host supplies everything needed to be very comfortable. The Host is very quick to respond to questions and concerns. The kitchen is great for meal prep, the large table is great for meals and games, the family room is cozy with large TV screen, and the beds are very comfortable and cozy after A fun day at the beach or crabbing from the backyard dock. We all would highly recommend Creekside Cottage!

Kathleen is a kind host. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and calm. The outdoor spaces are unbeatable. A screened in porch with furniture and a back deck with a grill and a picnic table! The interior is mostly as described however the beds are an issue. An adult couple was to sleep on the pull out couch, but it is not a usable bed and is extremely uncomfortable. The trundle beds have footboards, so you have to step on the lower bed to get out. They are only usable as two twin beds. The only other complaint about the property is the gate to the dock pictured is locked. There may be a key, but it was not mentioned in the instructions. It may be out of commission. As I had already messaged many times, I didn't ask. There was one big issue that put a damper on the end of our trip. The listing clearly says the checkout time is 11:00am. We were interrupted at 10 by a very rude staff member who entered the home abruptly to clean while someone was getting ready in the living room. This was distressing. Then hostile behavior ensued. We had to show the her listing on both VRBO and Expedia while she was on the phone with Kathleen to prove we were allowed to be there. To be clear, these issues did not ruin the trip! The house is great and I do believe it was an honest albeit frustrating mistake on Kathleen's part that she got mixed up on the checkout time she listed. Again, she was always very responsive. If you have one adult couple and four or less young kids, book this place!

This was a very nice property and I would recommend staying here. There were three issues that stopped me from giving the property a five star rating. 1. The landscaper came on Tuesday afternoon and was there for over an hour mowing the lawn. We had been on a boat for a few hours and came back to relax but really couldn't. 2. Checkout is 11 at 10:50 the cleaning crew (two cars) sat in the driveway waiting for us to leave. We left at 10:59 and they didn't appear friendly. These two issues made us somewhat uncomfortable and we felt a little infused on. I would recommend yard work not occur while there are guests-but before they arrive 3. The garbage can was full when pulled in (outside) can and we had a hard time fitting our garbage in the bag. Lastly I would have loved an outdoor shower and a door on the master bedroom bathroom. Overall it was lovely. Certainly a special place.
