"Gorgeous property -- loved the authentic early-20th century architecture and decor, and yet modern bathrooms. Our room was enormous!!! A bit far for walking to the center of town, but very quiet and peaceful. Unique!"

Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard.
There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over...

"We felt like royalty in this fully restored castle the entire time! We stayed for 3 days and it was relaxing and restorative with all the local flora and fauna. Easy to access many of the chateaus, castles, and wineries in the Liore Valley. Our hosts Isabelle and Antoinne were helpful from the initial booking and throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a retreat from the busy city and want to go back to a simpler time. "

Right from our easy check-in to the delicious meals, by Chef Jeremy Gilbert, we were extremely impressed and pleased with every element of our stay. The Chef even made off-menu vegetarian meals for us, to ensure we had variety.
The wonderful front office, restaurant and cleaning staff took our stay to the next level.

"For en familie med to teeenagepiger var hotellet en perfekt blanding af udmÊrkede lejligheder med selvhusholdning (terrase med havemÞbler til indtagelse af mÄltiderne) og mulighed for mere luksus med svimmingpool, bar og restaurant pÄ hotellet. Vi benyttede flittigt den dejlige svimmingpool og spiste to gange i den relativt dyre restaurant, som bÞd pÄ flere menuer med god og lokal gourmet mad.
